Salty Blue Camper relies on the E-BOX from E-T-A
Salty Blue values design, functionality and high-quality materials, many of which come from yacht building. Sustainability and close customer cooperation are also very important to the company. Previously, Salty Blue only offered its premium conversion on the VW T6.1 and Mercedes Vito or EQV. Now a variant is being added on the Ford Transit Custom, where the E-BOX from E-T-A is used.
Björn Sperl is deputy managing director of Salty Blue and is convinced of the added value of the E-BOX.
How did the collaboration with E-T-A come about?
The initial contact was made at the Caravan Salon 2022. At that time, the E-BOX was still under development, but we liked the overall concept right away. E-T-A supported us right from the start with the integration on site. This allowed us to switch from our own wiring to a plug & play wiring harness, which is enormously helpful for us in production.

What challenges were you able to overcome with the E-BOX?
We have managed to optimise energy consumption without compromising on quality or functionality. The E-BOX can be easily integrated and gives us the opportunity to make products more intelligent and networked. This gives us an advantage when it comes to adapting to future industry requirements. The compact design of the E-BOX and the modern touch panel also helps us to improve the user experience.
Does the E-BOX also have advantages for you?
Yes, especially in assembly processes. The all-in-one solution saves us a lot of cabling and therefore time in production. Above all, the wiring harness included in the E-BOX helps us eliminate possible assembly errors. The easy handling and compactness of the E-BOX are therefore a great advantage both for us and for the end user.
